If you have been looking for Custom Printed Bandanas Cotton vs Polyester, you’ve come to the right place.  There are a ton of companies out there that are offering bandanas with a “full color print”. The way that most of these companies accomplish this, is through the process of Dye Sublimation.

Dye Sublimation bandanas are great when you first hear about them, however, the nuances, are not so good. All full color, dye sublimation bandanas are polyester. There is no way around it, dye sublimation will only work on 100% polyester. In addition to this, the backs are always white. Now, if you’ve ever picked up a Custom Printed Bandanas Cotton product in the stores, you’ll note that the back is the same colors as the front. The design tends to “soak thru” so you get the classic bandana look.

Due to the science of dye sub bandanas, all of the bandanas start out white. While that doesn’t seem to bad, the process demands that you only print 1 side. When you flip over a dye sublimation bandana, it’s white on the back.

What all of this means is that if you get a dye sub bandana, the two issues you face, are that your bandana will be polyester and the back will be white. When you use cotton bandanas and water-based discharge printing, none of these issues exist. Our bandanas are a solid color through and through.
